The Inspire IEN Pathway is designed to assist nurses who are educated outside of Canada on their journey to gaining nursing registration in British Columbia.
About the Assessments:
Inspire offers one integrated assessment (formerly known as “Triple-Track”). This means your skills and knowledge will be assessed for three nursing-related roles at the same time:
- Registered Nurse (RN)
- Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
- Health Care Assistant (HCA) *
*Standalone Health Care Assistant (HCA) Assessment Notification (effective August 1, 2025)
Inspire also offers a separate assessment for the Registered Psychiatric Nurse (RPN) role.
We recommend that you start your IEN Pathway application process after you have gathered all the needed documents. This will help minimize delays and streamline the overall process for you.
An Inspire applicant has one year to provide all required documents, from the date they complete and submit their Inspire application survey. Failure to provide all required documents within the year will result in closure of the incomplete application.
