Inspire Global Assessments may assess you for one or more professions, including:
- Health-care Assistant (HCA)
- Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
- Registered Nurse (RN)
- Registered Psychiatric Nurse (RPN)
Inspire Global Assessments uses a combination of a Computer-Based Assessment (CBA) and a Simulation Lab Assessment (SLA) to assess how applicants demonstrate skills and competencies required for practice in their desired profession.
Inspire Global Assessments’ competency assessments are integrative, meaning you can be assessed across multiple professions at the same time. Once you’ve completed your assessments, Inspire Global Assessments will send your results and supporting documents to the regulator, who will email you about the next steps.
As a candidate, you have one year from your referral date to complete the Inspire Global Assessments assessment. You must complete the CBA and SLA(s) within three months of each other.
While you can take the assessments in any order, we encourage you to take the CBA first, as it will help you prepare for the SLA(s).

Computer-Based Assessment (CBA)
The CBA is 3- or 5-hour monitored assessment made up of cases that gradually unfold to take you through the step-by-step process of clinical thinking and decision-making.
The CBA is taken at a proctored computer lab operated by Prometric Testing Centres, and is offered in many countries and cities worldwide.
The CBA is also available to take remotely using the online testing platform, ProProctor from Prometric. Read through the User Guide to discover how remoting assessments work.

Simulation Lab Assessment (SLA)
The SLA allows you to demonstrate your ability to conduct patient assessments, perform appropriate health interventions, communicate effectively with patients, and make clinical decisions in a safe environment.
