The Northwest Territories and Nunavut

Are you an internationally educated nurse seeking a licence to practice in the Northwest Territories & Nunavut?

If so, Inspire Global Assessments is the right place to start!

The steps to take

To begin Inspire’s assessment, you must first be referred to Inspire by the College and Association of Nurses of the Northwest Territories and Nunavut (CANNN). If you have not yet applied to CANNN, please do so before starting your journey with Inspire.

If CANNN has already referred you to Inspire, the information below is for you!

NOTE: We highly recommend that you start your application process only after you’ve gathered all the needed documents. This will help minimize delays and streamline the overall process for you.

Below are the steps you’ll need to complete on your registration journey. You can complete many of these steps at the same time.

  1. When CANNN enters your referral into Inspire’s system, you will receive a welcome email, inviting you to log into your new account. Please follow the instructions to log into your account.
  2. Once you’ve logged in, you will need to complete and submit an application. You will be required to upload your notarized identification documents when you complete your application form. Use the following link to learn more about Identity Document Requirements. Please upload your notarized Identification Documents as a pdf, jpeg, jpg, or png file, so they can be reviewed by our team.
  3. Apply to have your educational credential documents  assessed by one of our authorized agencies.
  4. Submit proof of your English-language proficiency.
  5. Pay the application fee.
  6. Once you have submitted all required documents and paid the application fee, Inspire will review your documents. When this stage is complete, you will move to competency assessment. Please click here to learn more about Inspire’s competency assessment.
