SLA - RN/LPN

The RN/LPN SLA is required if you apply to the IEN (Internationally Educated Nurses) Pathway or have been referred to Inspire Global Assessments by the BC College of Nurses and Midwives, Nova Scotia College of Nursing, Nurses Association of New Brunswick or the College of Registered Nurses of PEI.

Your SLA will take place at one of the Inspire Global Assessments Assessment Centres located at Langara College in Vancouver, BC and BCIT in Burnaby, BC

Maritim​e Canada
Your SLA will take place at the Inspire Global Assessments Assessment Centre, located within the Université de Moncton in Moncton, NB.

Newfoundland and Labrador
Your SLA will take place at the Inspire Global Assessments Assessment Centre, located within the Centre for Nursing Studies in St. John’s, NL.

New Brunswick
Your SLA will take place at the Inspire Global Assessments Assessment Centre, located within the Université de Moncton in Moncton, NB.

​Please arrive 20 minute​s before your scheduled appointment, with a stethoscope and dressed in scrubs. Masks are optional.

The Simulation Lab Assessment gives you the opportunity to perform a thorough assessment or treatment so you can demonstrate the full breadth of your knowledge and skills.

When You Arrive

• We’ll give you an orientation of the simulation lab and equipment.
• Your personal belongings will be placed in a secure area.

Format

You’ll visit five stations in the simulation lab. Each station will include a specific assessment or treatment to be performed.
Each room is set up to reflect a specific kind of practice setting. One room may look like an acute or chronic care facility while another may represent a community care setting, such as a community clinic or someone’s apartment or house.
